Assessment may consider symptoms, history, lifestyle, digestion, activity, sleep and other relevant factors before anything is recommended.
What Is Obesity?
Obesity is a condition in which excess body fat accumulates to a level that may affect overall health.
It is more than just being overweight and can increase the risk of several health conditions, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, joint problems, fatty liver disease, and sleep disorders.
Obesity develops due to a combination of factors such as unhealthy eating habits, physical inactivity, genetics, hormonal influences, poor sleep, stress, and certain medical conditions or medications.

How Ayurveda Understands It
Sthaulya (Medoroga)
In Ayurveda, obesity is commonly correlated with Sthaulya (Medoroga). It is associated with an imbalance of Kapha Dosha, excess Meda Dhatu (adipose tissue), impaired Agni (digestive and metabolic strength), and unhealthy dietary and lifestyle habits.
Overeating, lack of physical activity, irregular routines, and mental stress may contribute to weight gain.
Our Ayurvedic Approach to Obesity
We follow a holistic, personalized approach rooted in Ayurvedic principles, to address the root cause of the condition and not the symptoms alone.

Plan
Aahar • Aushadhi • Vihar
Ayurvedic management focuses on understanding the individual's Prakriti (body constitution), Vikriti (current imbalance), digestive strength, lifestyle, and associated health conditions. A personalized treatment plan may include Ayurvedic medicines, dietary guidance, lifestyle modifications, regular physical activity, yoga, stress management, and Panchakarma therapies when clinically appropriate.
Aahar • Aushadhi • Vihar
After understanding the root cause, our Ayurveda expert applies the Trisutra principles to restore Tridosha balance and improve Agni.
Aahar (Diet)
A personalized diet plan — Pathya (what to eat) and Apathya (what to avoid) — is advised during consultation.
Aushadhi (Medicine)
Ayurvedic medicine formulations, based on the root-cause analysis of the condition, are prescribed to patients.
Vihaar (Lifestyle)
Meditation, Marma Chikitsa and other lifestyle actions are advised as per the condition.
Panchakarma (Personalized Therapy)
Shirodhara, Nasya, Shiroabhyanga, Shiropichu and Urdhvang Abhyanga are advised as per the condition.
Many People Start Taking Herbs Such As:
Ashwagandha, Giloy (Guduchi), Triphala, Guggulu, Shatavari, Shankhpushpi, Brahmi
…or other herbal formulations and Ayurveda-based supplements, after watching social media videos, reading online articles, or on the advice of friends and relatives.
However, Ayurveda does not recommend taking medicines without proper root-cause analysis.
